The process of becoming a mother, or matrescence, is a big life change. Arguably the biggest change one can experience. It impacts every part of a person and that impact continues to evolve for the rest of their lives. Therefore, it should not be surprising that motherhood presents plenty of opportunities for personal growth. What might be surprising though, is that an evolution of one’s identity often manifests itself in the relationship they have to their clothing.Dreading having to get dressed, feeling frustrated with how your clothes feel or fit, or feeling like your clothing doesn’t serve your needs are just some of the common signs that you have evolved, but your clothing hasn’t evolved with you. Trying to get dressed in clothing that no longer fits or feels right on your body or in your lifestyle can effect your energy, motivation, and self confidence. In short, clothing has the power to impact your mood and sense of self. Let’s harness that power and use it to enhance our lives! At The Style Rite, I help you reconnect with yourself and learn how to dress the person you are, ultimately helping you transform your relationship with your clothing so that the act of getting dressed is an enjoyable daily practice of self expression.I can’t wait to work with you!

Hi, I’m Christina, a mother, fashion industry veteran, and personal stylist.I am a life-long lover of fashion who grew up sketching fashion illustrations and pouring over fashion magazines and catalogues. I got my B.A. in Fashion Design and spent 20 years in the fashion industry working in New York, Seattle, and San Francisco as an apparel technical designer across brands that spanned small private companies, large corporations, and tech startups. Over the course of my career, I developed an expertise in apparel design, construction, fit and the product development and production process as a whole. While I learned a lot about the joys and frustrations women experience with clothing through client feedback, I always yearned for a way to directly communicate with the customers for whom we were making clothes.I became a mother in 2020 and again in 2022. Between the pandemic, the physical and emotional fluctuations of pregnancy and postpartum, and workplace shifts (going from fully in-office, to fully-remote, to “hybrid”, to self-employed), I experienced a lot of change in a short amount of time - as so many of us did. I found myself relying on the act of getting dressed to be a grounding daily ritual that helped me feel like myself and maintain a sense of stability amidst all those shifts.I understand the busy lives that mothers lead and the amount of time we spend caring for others. It can be easy to neglect caring for ourselves. Getting dressed can be a powerful way to check in and do something just for you. I started The Style Rite as a way to support mothers. I want moms to feel good physically and emotionally in their clothing and I want getting dressed to have purpose, ease, and fun. I love helping mothers in all stages of their lives reconnect with themselves through their personal style.I can’t wait to meet you!
